Minnesota Representative Jim Oberstar is aiming to right what he deems the Supreme Court has done wrong to the Clean Water Act by introducing the Clean Water Restoration Act of 2007. The bill is receiving lots of support in Washington, and back home.

A Little Falls Daily Journal editorial calls for broad support of Oberstar’s legislation.

Oberstar’s Clean Water Restoration Act appears to eliminate lengthy processes and restore exemptions while at the same time focusing on pollution at its sources. Makes sense to us and we urge Congress and the president to move forward with it.
